complete lack of privacy, owners and workers would turn up and start work at 6:30am with tractors and in the wine cantina (which is connected to the house) and is very loud internally to the house. Owners conducted tours of the cantina (connected to the house) inviting multiple groups of strangers without tell us. A petrol tanker even turned up at the house to refuel the tractors. This is not a private villa, we were constantly woken up and had to live with the doors and blinds shut due to the proximity of strangers, cars, tractors turning up at all hours of the day. Have photos if you are interested. When we asked the owners about this, they said we were renting the inside of the villa, everything else was their property to do with as they please. The fact this isn't a private villa, and the bedrooms are onto of the winery and you will be woken up constantly before 7am needs to be explained on the description of the villa. Very unimpressed.

Absolutely Stupendous! The Villa was truly spectacular! We could not have asked for more! The rooms were beautifully decorated. The view kept us in awe each day. I don't think I have ever seen my two daughters wake up before noon on their own until we stayed here and they woke up at 6 a.m. to see the sunrise from their bedroom balconies. Watching the sunset while we ate dinner on the terrace and enjoying the view as we relaxed at the pool were equally as amazing.
Owners, Silvia and Maurizio, were both welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful. Although I am sure there are many equally as great villa in Tuscany to choose from, the hospitality we received from them could not compare. Upon our arrival they showed us their vineyard and the winery below the villa and allowed us to try a bottle of they wine they produce. That night they cooked us dinner and gave us helpful information about upcoming events in local Montepulciano and other towns to visit in Tuscany. Upon hearing how much my mother loves her Nespresso machine we have at home, Silvia offered us her own personal machine for the week we were there. The following day she took us to the local market so we would know the closest place to get groceries.
If I am recalling correctly we were one of the firsts to stay at the farmhouse after it was restored, so our travel agent warned us that some initial problems were to be expected. However, she could not have been more wrong. We had just one problem (if you could even call it that) when we discovered one of the air conditioners leaked a bit during the night. We told Silvia and Maurizio and they had it fixed and cleaned up before we got home for dinner that night.
The experience was one my family and I will never forget and I would recommend this Villa to all. Although I have never seen their other villas, because of their hospitality alone, I would also recommend any of Silvia and Maurizio's villas, although this Villa holds a special place in my heart.

A Most Wonderful Holiday Villa. In June,2010, four generations of our family stayed a week in this wonderful villa. Having heard so much about the beauty of Tuscany we had chosen Montepulciano as our base for exploring the area. We arrived in a very hot afternoon in Montepulciano. We were met by our hostess, Silvia. After just a few moments we felt as if we had always known each other. She introduced us the house, the vineyard and told us all essential information we might need for our adventures.
The Villa has a breath-taking view over a vast land and hills. Coming from a very flat area in Finland it was really worth taking the time to sit down and admire the scenery.
The house with its big bedrooms, and lovely dining area outside - and the pool with the clearest water ever appeared to be to our taste. It did not take us a long time to start the first lunch, take the first plunge into the pool - and just start enjoying ourselves. The youngest one 1,5 yrs and the oldest of us 85 - we all found in this place the peace and quiet that one appreciates on a holiday and yet the wonderful cities of Montepulciano,Siena;Pienza etc were so close.
We chose to have a proper swim and sunbathing by the pool every morning. In the afternoon we sat in our cars and drove into the cities to explore the very old history that they offer. When the sun was setting we sat at our dinner table watching the valley grow dark and all the lights twinkling in the distance. These nights are engraved in our hearts.
Maurizio, the wine producer and our host took us to the depths of wine making. Tasting the different degrees of maturity of the wines - it was a most educating evening and so much fun.
If you are thinking about a villa in Tuscany, you can find peace with no neighbor. The house has got all the things you want for your holiday. And it is so easy to expand your knowledge about Tuscany.
But - Silvia and Maurizio- they made this stay worth while and made us want to return as soon as possible. Thank you so much from our 10 family members.
